Abayomi FADEYI, is a Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology & Parasitology, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin with almost two decades of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He has served as Head of Department, Co-Ordinator of Pathology Program and Director, UNILORIN Molecular Diagnostic and Research Laboratory (MDRL). His areas of research interest cover Infectious Diseases Epidemiology, Chemotherapy & Antibiotic Resistance, Hospital Acquired Infection, STI including HIV, Mycobacteriology and Molecular Microbiology.

He has to his credit well over fifty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings, and book chapters. He has successfully supervised over fifteen Masters dissertations. He has equally won a number of research grants. Professor Fadeyi is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
