Biography

Mariam Kehinde SULAIMAN is an emerging academic with a promising career trajectory. Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, University Ilorin.

With a Ph.D. in Microbial and Cellular Sciences from the University of Surrey, UK her research interest lies in understanding Host-microbe interactions: Examining the intricate relationship between microorganisms and their host organisms. While still early in her career, she has already achieved significant milestones, including being awarded a conference grant from the Microbiology Society to present her research findings. In terms of administrative positions, she has actively engaged with departmental committees, contributing to curriculum development and student mentoring programs. She has a number of publications in reputable journals and is still dedicated to scientific inquiry and has a promising research trail in the field of molecular biology and infectious diseases.
